As you may recall in my last article, Healing Odyssey was the guest speaker at last months Riviera Women’s Club luncheon. This club raised over $1,100 for Healing Odyssey. It was an honor to be the recipient of their charitable donations. Their fashion show was the following month and they needed help with models. They asked if would help out. We were excited to help and a little bit scared! Modeling? So we committed to help! Turns out it was a great success! Sometimes its good to step outside your comfort zone and try something new!
The clothes we modeled were from the Soft Surroundings store in Mission Viejo. Their clothes are so pretty, soft, and comfortable. The manager, Kathy Basher, was so helpful in ensuring none of the models picked the same outfits and that the outfits fit our style. She is an excellent stylist! I highly recommend this store if you are looking for some new clothes and appreciate an honest opinion.
Of course, as part of the modeling duties, we had the option of purchasing our outfits at a very good discount. Some of us ended up with a few new items! The clothes were perfect for upcoming vacation plans! The event was a great success and everyone really enjoyed themselves. Thanks again to the Riviera Womens club for the invite.
