Giving Tuesday Kicks Off Healing Odyssey’s Important Fundraising Season with an Unprecedented Goal!
As we have for the past 13 years, Healing Odyssey will be among throngs of nonprofit organizations around the world inspiring people to spread good on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, December 2nd 2025. Giving Tuesday, as it is called, is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Created in 2012 as a simple idea, Giving Tuesday is a day that encourages people to do good and support good causes.
Healing Odyssey has participated since the beginning with a year-end fund raiser that helps us achieve our mission of supporting women with cancer. The funds we raise on Giving Tuesday and the weeks that follow through the end of the year have always played an important role in Healing Odyssey’s ability to continue hosting retreats that support women cancer survivors. Our retreat program was created by oncology professionals and features sessions and activities facilitated by professionals with a wealth of knowledge surrounding cancer as well as mental health. We could not keep offering this valuable program without the help of many generous donors and supporters.
This Giving Tuesday, we hope the Healing Odyssey community will support our mission and help us reach an ambitious goal. We have a tremendous opportunity to reach our biggest Giving Tuesday target yet. A generous donor has pledged to match up to $20,000 in donations from Giving Tuesday until the end of 2025. This year especially, those funds are vital to moving our mission forward. This year is our first without our founder and board members who have nurtured this organization for 30 years. We are proud of the steps we’ve taken to take the Healing Odyssey legacy into a new era, but all the work we’ve done to ensure a successful future has prevented us from spending time raising critical funds in 2025.
